The Gap
For this project, our client had engaged a pool builder (Getaway Pools) who had already poured the concrete Pool shell in place. When they came to us they were looking to design and build the surrounding areas of the landscape and already had a concept provided by the builder which needed the Outdoor Secrets touch.
The main areas that needed to be addressed in the new design were poor access issues around the house with the steeply sloping block and the transition from the house to the extended entertaining areas.
Floor to ceiling glass windows and doors looked onto a small courtyard area in the garden that needed a focal point. This was addressed be designing a custom built water feature which combined a statue that the client had chosen from Thailand with beautiful imported granite stone. We were able to create a beautiful feature with adding moving water for subtle noise and LED pond lights which can all be viewed from numerous areas inside the house. The client was always travelling so wanted to re-create the holiday/bali feel at home.
The Outdoor Alfresco area looks seamlessly over the pool out into the bushland with nothing obstructing the view. The spill over edge of the pool, large format porcelain tiles and frameless glass fencing contribute to this beautiful view. Being so close to the city this was a very unique backdrop the client had so it had to be utilised. Having tiled stairs the complete length of the alfresco makes it very easy to move from the pool area to the comfort of the shade. We also designed a custom Laser Cut powder coated steel sliding gate which was combined with renders clockwork to give the client privacy and security at the front of their property.
